You won't find much, since you don't need to use trailboss in the whisper. The Wisper has a lot less case capacity than the 308 and trailboss is generally used to fill up the case to prevent detonation. Most just use pistol powders for subsonic loads, such as H110.

trailboss is too bulky for the 300w. AA9, H110 and the faster pistol powders will work and be quieter. You just can't get enough TB in a whisper case to achieve the max sub velocity.

Hey fella's..thanks for the guidance. I guess I had my ears pinned back and was listening to talk about .308 and TB. It wont be wasted for sure...
I'll get some 110 and try that. I did manage a case of Ruag factory stuff, and it works well, when it works. I find at least 1 out of 5 has a funny sound, and it flies out of the group. To bad cause the good stuff is good. but to expensive...Again thanks

Try VVN110, it will do a better job in the Whisper than H110.

With a Sierra 220 grain MK, try 10.0 of VVN110. Barrel length will change your load some.

Thanks again for the help. Wish I could post a pic...
My 300 whisper is built on a Sako 75, 16 1/2 " 1x8 twist stainless, McMillan stock. I havent had all that much success with SubS reloads...so look forward to this load. I have several boxes of factory RUAG, 220 gr. stuff.and my rifle seems to like that well enough if I do my part..

Rico,

Try this site: http://www.300whisper.com/subsonic.html

I use AA #7 at 10.6 gr. with a 220 gr Sierra HPBT from a bolt action made with a Rem. XR action and a 1:8 Lilja SS barrel.
Very quiet with the Gemtech can and will put groups inside .8" at 100 yards all day long

I had the same idea you did about using Trail Boss in my 300 Whisper but found I couldn't stuff enough in the case to get past 700 fps with a 190 gr bullet. I have been experimenting and have found H335 and Varget to produce good subsonic velocities and very good accuracy. See my recent post on this forum for my load data. Good Shooting !!!! :D
